The word ’wrought’ is an archaic past tense form of the verb ‘to work’. As language changed, the word wrought was substituted for the word work. Wrought iron simply means ‘worked iron’.... and it’s beautiful!

Enquiries

JB Wrought Iron mainly operates in the following areas of Sydney: Upper and Lower North Shore, Northern Beaches, Eastern Suburbs, City and Inner Suburbs of Sydney. However, depending on the size of the project, we will consider work in all suburbs of Sydney as well as country areas. Project Manager and Director, John Bransby can visit clients to view plans or inspect the site. Our quoting process is explained HERE and we suggest reading it before submitting an enquiry. Initial enquiries are preferred via our online enquiry FORM . Using this form saves us asking you a lot of questions by phone and allows us to handle your enquiry faster.  We understand some people don’t like forms and prefer an email address. Please use info@jbwi.com.au  if that’s the case. We receive a large volume of enquiries, and in times of high demand we give priority to enquiries that provide sufficient information. To ensure your enquiry is given high priority it should contain, or have attached, the following information: 1. Site photos (ideally of a file size under 500kb per photo) showing where the metal work is to be installed, eg the front doorway if you require an iron door. 2. Architect’s drawings or plans if available. If not, sketches or photos showing the type of work required. 3. Any photos or website links to images that may be the inspiration for the design of your new work. 4. An indication of the project scale and a description.  For example, for balustrading - 15 lineal metres of balustrade along landings and 5 lineal metres on stairs. Sketches showing these dimensions are preferred. If you have any of this information, our online enquiry FORM makes it very easy to upload the information to us. If you do not have such information and are looking for general advice on an upcoming project, our advisory service may be appropriate.
